We work 9:30am to 4:30pm from Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday is closed. 

You can choose from three different payment methods. 

1. Pay online using your BML card once we send you an invoice online. (BML will charge your card at the official exchange rate. This is subject to BML’s limit on your card)  
2. Pay in Malaysian Ringgit (do an online transfer to our Ringgit account from your bank account in Malaysia).  
3. Pay in Maldivian Rufiyaa with online transfer. (market rates apply. Currently a collection charge of MRF4 per USD is applicable). 
4. Pay with Telegraphic Transfer (TT). This is usually applicable for amounts larger than USD1000.

Yes, you can pay in Maldivian Rufiyaa with BML online transfer. Please note, currently a collection charge of MRF3 per USD is applicable per dollar for our invoices in USD).

Yes, we do that for an additional shipping concierge service fee of 5% of the value of goods is applicable for this service. (minimum charges apply)

Yes, we open all packages received at our facility. If your merchant has included an invoice, we will crosscheck the contents of the package against the invoice to ensure you receive the correct items. If the invoice shows the price you paid, we will also enter these values in our export documentation for customs declaration.

For the first two weeks we don’t charge for storage. But if you choose to keep the item with us for a longer period for any reason, storage charges are applicable.

For small shipments we have 3 standard sizes of boxes. But we can ship any box including odd sized packages. For invoicing purposes the volume of such boxes will be calculated and billed according to the 3 standard sizes of boxes in our small packages. If the items are 1 cubic meter or bigger LCL rates apply. 

You can ship something as small as a matchbox but the charges will be based on our standard myKLboX small personal box. As for the biggest package, we can ship something as big as a 40 foot container. 

For small packages myKLboX small package rates are applicable. For cargo volumes of 1 cubic meter or bigger but smaller than a 20 foot container, LCL rates are applicable. For cargo volumes of full container loads contact us for full container rates.

We can ship mostly everything, including clothing, food items, hardware and tools, cosmetics, toys, cell phones, laptops, gadgets and a lot more.

However, we cannot ship items restricted by the Malaysian Government or prohibited for import into Maldives. For example, we cannot ship any items that require a license to export or require special permits like prescriptions to import to Maldives.

Please check Maldives Customs website https://www.customs.gov.mv/ to verify your items can be imported. 

For air cargo and courier with DHL and FEDEX, the restrictions on DG cargo and respective couriers’ restrictions are applicable.

Dangerous goods/hazardous materials are items that need special handling, additional packaging, and labelling to be shipped. The rates for shipping such goods are different and in some instances we might not even be able to ship those.

Sometimes very common household items such as hairsprays, paint, nail polish etc can be flammable and therefore considered dangerous goods. Please check with us before sending the goods. If you can get an MSDS data sheet from your supplier send it to us for us to check. 

Yes, it is possible with standard transportation charges. For small boxes you may arrange to send the box either with Grab or Lalamove to my myKLboX office. If you are buying from a vendor in Malaysia request your supplier to deliver the item to myKLboX office with an invoice and a packing list.

Lithium-ion and lithium metal batteries usually have no problem with shipping be sea. But they are heavily regulated for air transport. The regulations are very complex and can vary depending on courier, he size of the battery, how it is packaged. Please check before sending the item.

No. MyKLboX does not ship any medications including over the counter OTC medications or prescription drugs.

Shipping cost depends on the volume, and your preferred method of shipping. The most economical mode of shipping is by sea freight.  Air freight and shipments using courier such as DHL and FEDEX are chargeable by volumetric weight. Please request the latest rate sheet to check on charges including freight, documentation, customs clearance and transportation.

No, the rate is inclusive of Maldives customs clearance. But for any item that is dutiable by Customs actual amount charged by customs is payable. 

It depends on the mode of shipment. We do an LCL shipment fortnightly. Sometimes there are changes to the shipping schedules and clearance could take longer than expected. For sea freight economy packages, typically it takes between 3-6 weeks for the items to arrive.

For shipments sent by air freight and couriers like DHL or FEDEX typically it takes between 5-10 days to receive.

Yes, while we try our best to send your shipment as fast as we could there are things that are beyond our control. For items shipped by sea, there could be changes in shipping schedules or the items could be held by Customs authorities or the shipment might miss a connecting vessel at a transhipment port. 

Even for air freight there could be flight schedule changes or issues with documentation that prevent a shipment being loaded. Even international couriers like DHL and FEDEX sometimes face delays in their shipments. So, when you plan your shipment you need to factor in the possibility of delays and plan for contingencies.

If you choose to insure, the items in the box are insured for the value you have chosen. In case of damage or loss of an item a replacement or the amount of loss (up to the amount insured for) will be reimbursed to you.

You need to provide your purchase invoice or fill up our customer form to provide us the values of your purchases. Based on these, we will compile the documents for Maldives customs for our agent in Male’ to clear the cargo. 

For small shipments we don’t send shipping documents to you but only to our agent in Male for them to clear the cargo on your behalf.

Yes, if the items you ship are dutiable by the Maldives Customs our agent in Male will ask you to pay the amount charged by Maldives Customs when the items arrive.  For customs tariff rates see https://www.customs.gov.mv/eServices/Tariff

For your to get exemptions for up to MRF6000 on account of your shipment being personal items, we need to send your items under your personal name. But if we send your purchases under your personal name there is a set of documentation (Bill of Lading (BL), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Delivery Order (DO) that need to be done under your name.  Each BL charge is USD40 and a DO charge is USD30.  The reason why we consolidate your items with other items under a single shipment is to avoid these charges. If you are to pay these charges, the total amount you need to pay would be generally higher than the amount you would save by making your items duty free by importing it under your own personal name. 

However, if you for any reason, would like us to do all the shipping documents under your personal name we will be happy to do so.

Our agent in Male will contact you once the item reaches Male and is cleared from Maldives Customs.

No, home delivery is not included. All myKLboX items are sent to our agent’s office in Male. The rate is for you to pick up from our agent’s office. If you would like your items to be delivered our home talk to our Male’ agent. They will give you a rate for local delivery.
